Van Dieman's Natura Dualis professional ink collection is inspired by the natural world, where contrasts coexist harmoniously. The inks are designed to illustrate moments of duality in nature: night meets day, earth meets sky, water meets land, movement meets stillness. Each color in the Natura Dualis series is formulated for a dual- or multi-color effect. The inks are formulated to create defined edges, undertones, subtle highlights, and even color separations—revealing hidden depths after drying, depending on the nib, paper, and ink flow. Riverbank reflects this rich balance of earth and water. A ruddy umber base gives way to swirls of aquatic blue, earthy pink and mossy green and flashes of muted violet, depending on paper and pen.
