Van Dieman's inks pay tribute to the Australian island of Tasmania, where they are produced. The inks are handmade in small batches using a minimum of 95% Australian ingredients.
Known as one of the most colorful birds in the world, the Lilac-Breasted Roller is native to the open woodlands and savannahs of sub-Saharan Africa. Its dazzling plumage features a kaleidoscope of hues, from deep blues and vibrant lilacs to warm cinnamon browns, making it a beloved subject for photographers and bird enthusiasts alike. This bird is not only admired for its beauty but also for its acrobatic flight displays.
Lilac-Breasted Roller Breast inspired by the vivid lilac feathers adorning the bird’s chest, this ink is a true lilac with exceptional shading. Its shimmering tones of pink, silver, purple, and blue evoke the play of sunlight on the roller’s plumage as it moves.
