Van Dieman's inks pay tribute to the Australian island of Tasmania, where they are produced. The inks are handmade in small batches using a minimum of 95% Australian ingredients.
Leonidas ink from the Greek Heroes collection is named after the Greek hero. Leonidas held back Xerxes and his army of thousands of Persian soldiers for three days with only a few hundred men. His heroic sacrifice, giving his life to his country and the sacrifice of his men gave the Greek nations time and motivation to defeat the invaders in the coming war.
This shade is the ultimate dark red shimmerless shade with a high saturation of scarlet red that resembles the famous cloak worn by all Spartan soldiers.
Capacity: 40 ml. The ink is designed for fountain pens, nibs and brushes.
