Van Dieman's inks pay tribute to the Australian island of Tasmania, where they are produced. The inks are handmade in small batches using a minimum of 95% Australian ingredients. Each series is inspired by Tasmanian fauna, flora, history or extraordinary landscapes.
Tortoiseshell from Feline Collection - an ink that captures the deep, mysterious beauty of a tortoiseshell cat's coat. This ink lays down a dark plum hue, reminiscent of the rich, complex patterns of a tortoiseshell's fur. But it's the green sheen and silver and gold shimmer that truly bring this ink to life, reflecting the ever-changing colors and patterns seen in a tortoiseshell's coat.
Tortoiseshell is a versatile ink that works well with a range of nib sizes, but to truly appreciate its unique shimmer and sheen, we recommend using a medium or broad nib. This allows the shimmer to truly shine and the sheen to fully manifest.
