How to refill a pen?

Use the tip of the pen cap to unscrew the cap on the barrel and remove the refill. Prepare a tissue or paper towel. Immerse about 1/3 of the refill in the ink bottle and wait until the refill is about 70 percent saturated with ink (the refill should be completely colored). Then, clean the outer shell of the refill of any remaining ink and insert the refill into the pen barrel, finally securing the refill with the cap. Here's the video how to do it.

How to care for brass?
